As a believer in Jesus, you have certain privileges because you belong to Christ. When you chose Him, God put a blood line around you that the enemy cannot cross. As long as you’re keeping Him first place, you have a hedge of protection, a hedge of favor, a hedge of mercy surrounding you like a shield. When difficulties come, God says that because you’re His child, because you honor Him, even though that problem has formed, in the end it is not going to prosper. When it’s all said and done, it’s not going to harm you. God is going to turn it around and use it to your advantage. That’s your heritage as a believer!

I have to start the process of applying for nursing school NEXT YEAR, 2014, and the school accepts only 100 while currently there are 990 nursing majors. You can see that I have every right to be worried. But right after reading this from my devotional and praying, I feel peace. It’s crazy miraculous. Not only was I doubting myself while being a daughter of God, but I’m doubting Him that He can’t do it. And God has clearly made it evident to me that He can do all things and that I myself can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

THE LAW REVEALS OUR GUILT.

At dawn [Jesus] appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him… John 8:2-6

THE LOVE REVEALS GOD’S GRACE.

…But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. John 8:6

When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” John 8:7

Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you…” John 8:8-11

THE LIGHT REVEALS OUR HOPE.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. John 12:46

Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. Micah 7:8
